"Not So Grand Tarino"
10/05/2009

Music: The Cure - Jordan Sparks

Mood: Tired

Good evening modern fans!

Ugh! It was such a long day. Today Timineri and I went to Bridges On The River for brunch. The establishment was nice. It reminded me of one of those wealthy large colonial houses. We had a choice to dine upstairs overlooking the river or outside on the large patio. We chose the outdoors since it won't be long 'till we could no longer enjoy the warm sun when winter approaches. We drowned ourselves in a carafe of mimosa and tamed our appetite with chicken flautas as Timineri pointed out the grammatical errors of the laminated menu. I couldn't smell the fresh air since I'm still plugged up from being sick, but I could feel it as the sun beats against my skin. We talked. We joked. We laughed. We were merry. Our salmon benedict came and we were extremely displeased of how strange the taste of the salmon was. It tasted like it was deep fried and sour as if they tried to fry smoked salmon. We asked our server to exchange for traditional benedict. As we waited for our food, I decided to take a walk. I walked down the driveway and watched the massive river riveted and sparkled in the sun. I glanced up hill at Timineri and took a breath. It seemed like life stood still and rewinded itself to the last time we had brunch at Fox & Goose. Timineri called for me and time snapped me back to the present. As I walked up the hill, I'm reminded of how much everything has changed as the seasons passed. How much we have grown. How much more we need to know. And how perfect everything is in the grand scheme of this insecure life. What a beautiful day it was. We enjoyed our traditional benedict much better. We also enjoyed the artist serenading us with his guitar and his Jason Mraz-like vocal abilities. The server also brought us my favorite desert in the world on the house: creme brule! I have to say that it was the best creme brule I have ever had in Sacramento. Even Timineri had to agree. When we walked back to our cars, I gave Timineri a hug as he had to go to the office to do some work and I headed home. We haven't hugged in a while.

I came home and continued putting some finishing touches on the website. I added a media player with theme music. Let me know what you guys think. After some work, for some reason I had the urge to hook up with a trick. It was some random guy online. I have no clue what his name is. He wasn't that cute in person. I wasn't even that horny. It only left me feeling dirty and empty. Times like this, I know I'm not ready to rush into a relationship but I do miss the companionship and having someone to call my own.

After the trick left, I traveled all the way to Rancho Cordova to feed Vining's frogs. I refrained from deep frying the little fuckers and putting them on skewers. After I was done, I headed back downtown and cruised the gay Target for essentials: razors, body spray, lotion, lip balm, etc. I stopped by the Asian grocery store and wanted to get duck for dinner but the chinks closed the place. I ended up making rice and pork in miso sauce instead. After dinner, Timineri made me sit through bad acting, unoriginal plot, and pimple-faced Asians of Grand Tarino. Show of hands for those who agree it's a horrible movie!

I now am exhausted and we need to hit the sack for an early start. Good night everybody!
