"Burning This Bridge"
08/06/2009

Music: Don't Let Me Stop You - Kelly Clarkson

Mood: Accomplished

Where should I start? It'd been an emotional roller coaster ride since I'd been back primarily due to the stress of not having a job. The job search process was painful, time consuming and excruciating given the state of this economy (especially in CA). The good news is: after diligent searching and refreshing a more-than-clever resume, I received a response from Sprint for Retention Specialist. I did an on-the-spot informal phone interview while hanging at the pool with Foster. I was scheduled for two formal interviews and I articulately blew them away. I got the job and will be starting August 18, 2009!

On a disappointing note, the content of my previous blog entry apparently has struck a particular person to the core (we all know who that is). Hmmm... Truth hurts. He requested that I no longer include his name in my blog and I was happy to oblige. Not too long after, he text me and asked for my address because he "wants to send me something." I'm not a dumbass and I knew something was up. I responded with my address anyways. He sent "formal emails" demanding me to remove all entries containing his name mentioned on my blog. Yes, we all know where this is going. He threatened to take "legal action" against me and ModernRomeo.net. I advised him that I will not submit to such ludicrous request. I said, "If you don't want people to know, then don't do it!" He doesn't stand a chance in a court of law. His reasoning is because it's slander, untrue and is jeopardizing his job (which is bullshit). I know all this lawsuit bullshit is not driven by just him; I know he was very much influenced. First off, they are not lies nor derogatory. My exact statement was "I'm so disappointed in him... That man never changed." His best rebuttal to that was, "...But you insinuated and implied..." Sorry buddy, I'm not responsible for other people's conclusion. I understand the law very well and I know my rights to free speech and media. I educated him about how company branding protection works. I also advised him that by taking me to court, he's only drawing attention to the media and doing what he was trying to avoid: involving work into his personal life. In reality, his work doesn't give a fuck about his domestic disputes, who he dates, sleeps with, cheat on, lie to or what other people think of him as an overall person. If this was to go to court by some miracle, he'd only be eligible for a "libel case". Although, libel cases are between business to business and not individual to individual. Yes, you sure bet I consulted my family lawyer regarding this. After drinking about it and sleeping on his request, even though he doesn't stand a chance in court, I have decided to remove all entries about him from my blog for my sake. I'm eradicating all those written memories, the bad and including the good because neither of them was real. It was all a forced joke and a never-ending game between him and me. I convinced myself to fall in love with someone who never existed. I fell in love with a person that I fabricated. I fell in love with the "idea" of him, of what I thought he was and most importantly: what I wanted him to be. The blogs that I have written for the past two years wasn't about him at all; it was about a man of my imagination. This here today, is the true him. Look for ModernRomeo.net to go through slow changes. I'm planning to also add a "My Writings" section soon. May burning this bridge bring us all some peace.

Other than that, not a whole lot have been going on. Timineri and I have been leaning on each other through these trialing times. We'd been having a good 'ol time together. I'd been cleaning a lot, organizing and even color coded his closet.

Now that I have a new job, I ready for my new journey and looking forward to this new life.
