"Goodbye New Mexico Pride"
06/14/2009

Music: Bye, Bye - Mariah Carey

Mood: Hungry

Good evening guys!

Thank Buddha Gay Pride is over. I was ready to for it to be as I openly anticipated it's arrival. Everybody including all the Breathless dancers of Club Exhale and most of all Vasquez worked so hard to put on an amazing show. On Friday the Breathless dancers welcomed drag queen finalist, Chanel of RuPaul's hit television show: The Drag Race. Before we performed, Chanel was talking about how I looked like a "nasty lil' bottom" so I did the splits all the way down to the ground and bared my booty out to the crowd. The crowd went wild! We pulled off a hot show. It was a Pride charity event so we had lots of donations.

The show consisted of hours of drag, singing, dancing and lots of booz! After our performance, us Breathless dancers cocktailed all night. After the show was over, the club was still packed and we go-go danced the night away.

Last night was the closing of Pride. Exhale was at max capacity. Vasquez had to escort Chanel all day. I took Tony's place and managed the dancers. I made shots for the dancers and we sold out all of our shots. We've setup a studio space where guests could take photos with all the Breathless dancers for $5 each. I even go-go danced to fill for when my dancers were resting. I was dancing on the highest box and a drunk female decided to put her drink on the box. The box got wet but I continued to dance anyways because no one was on that box. Sal came up and straddled the box and I started freaking her. I turned around, slipped on the wet box and flex down a 6 feet stage, landed my ass on the edge of another stage at the bottom. It hurted so bad, but I was all like "Welcome to Exhale bitches! That's how we party!" It was body to body! What a hot night!

After Tony arrived I got to do what I love doing the most which was danced all night. All the dancers passed out T-Shirts and necklaces while we danced. The crowd went wild! I made the crowd jumped like a rock concert as we shook the floor and tossed out shirts and necklaces.

I've always wanted to be a part of and give back to the community, but not too much a part of the "scene". This was a great way for me to be a part of the community and still do what I love the most. It was important to me and it was very memorable. It's getting harder and harder for me to think of the idea of saying, "goodbye" soon. I'm starting to build relationships and establish a bond to a life style that I'm surely am going to miss. The other night Tony and I told each other we love each other after a hard night of work. We took the same route home. We rode side by side with the view of his car in the corner of my eye, but eventually we parted ways to our own destination. We do this nearly every single day. I started to wonder if it was a sign foreshadowing what is going to happen in the near future. Perhaps the universe is preparing me for a new chapter. I'm going to miss Vasquez so much. I love the guy.

So the hiring manager contacted my supervisor through email and asked her to call him. He said I should hear something by tomorrow around noon. I'm excited. I'm sure there will be another interview before I move. I'm so prepared and ready to get this over with and come home!

Other than that, I just need to rest since I'd been getting home at 4AM every day for the week since Pride. I'm starving to I'm going to find something to eat. Night guys!
