"All That They're Not" 11/28/2008
Mood: Turkied-Out
What a great nontraditional Thanksgiving I had yesterday. I went to work as scheduled. It was soooo slow. I took 1 call every 20 mins. It was so slow that I got sent home early around 4PM. Gil was at his Mom's for Thanksgiving when I got home. Lee invited the both of us over for Thanksgiving dinner around 6PM. Gil was running late and he still needed to go over to his best friend's house. Gil told me he might just ditch his best friend and go with me over to Lee's. It was so sweet! I was flattered, but I told him to not ditch his friends and family for me, especially when he made those plans before I ever entered his life. It was so refreshing to have someone that wanted to change their plans for me, I would never let him go through with it, but what a nice change since I'm always the one thats changing my plans around a man. Gil is such a sweetheart!
So I went over to Lee's. I meet his friend/roomate for the first time, Christy. What a wonderful and beautiful woman. Lee cooked a HUGE turkey, which we had only like 4 slices. He made mash potatos, stuffing, veggies, pies and gravey. It was absolutely exquisit! He also served Pinot Noir for dinner. Great food, tantilizing conversations, wonderful company... what else could you ask for? There was LOTS of left overs, including almost an entire turkey! Gil and I kept each other posted on what we were doing throughout the night. I came over to his place to spend time with him after we were both done with our own thing. He looked so gorgeous in his blue button up dress shirt for Thanksgiving Holiday. I loved how he kept it on 'till I see him since he knows I like to see him dressed up. We had good conversations in bed, lots of kisses and went to sleep. It seems like Gil is everything that everybody is not. He open doors for me, would change his plans for me, do little things like dress up for me because he knows I like it, or wants to help me with crossing things off of my bucket list. Neither of us have much, but we have each other. We have honesty, fidelity, security, consistantcy, passion, comitment and selfless devotion we can offer each other.
Gil will pick me up at work and we're going to have lunch together. Hmmm... What shall we have? Choices... Choices... Choices...
